You may have left out part of the first sentence. For Folks who are true Disney Fans, and have an extra couple million laying around, there are Disney ownership options beyond DVC. :)
This is exactly what we did/are doing. A couple of months ago we bought resale at AKL with our first trip planned for this November. We are planning a day during our November trip to do DVC resort hopping and we are 90% sure we will be pulling the trigger on the 150 Poly points. We want to get in before any blue card i
Seems like this would be a lot of fun!! If I'm right they do have a 30 day/night rule. Meaning that at 30 days you would have to vacate the property for 24 hours. You can still go to the parks but you would have to stay off of property for 1 night.
I keep seeing people saying that they get the Sorcerer Pass with the "DVC Discount". I know that buying a direct DVC contract gives you "Florida residency" in Disney's eyes, and allows you to purchase a Florida resident annual pass such as the Sorcerer, Pirate, or Pixie Dust pass. That said I have not see anything offi
I would heavily recommend looking into the Jeff Galloway training process. His run, walk, run approach sounds like it would be perfect for what you described. https://www.jeffgalloway.com/
All 3 of these are great resorts, and any of them would make great options!! We were in a very similar internal debate between AKV, Poly and BLT. Ultimately we went resale with AKL so we could start enjoying it now, but will likely go Poly in the very near future for direct. That whole fear of missing out will get ya e
Our son loves playing soccer, and a few years back we did a round of footgolf over at the Oak Trail golf course. It was a lot of fun and something completely different from our normal park trips.
I did a quick read through and maybe I missed it, but it seems like this would be a great example for banking and borrowing. You could buy at a second resort and instead of having to do a split stay, just borrow from your home resort from the next year. You could do Poly every other year and have 2 years points, and in
As others have mentioned, being from out of state (Michigan), prior to being a DVC member, we would do the Incredi-Pass and then plan 2-3 trips in that 12 month window. Now that we are DVC members we will just have to watch travel patterns. If we find ourselves doing more frequent weekend trips we may need to keep the
I think we fall in the category of "semi" empty nesters as well. Our son goes to College out of state, and will be graduating this December. So 9 months of the year we have been empty nesters We have been on a couple of trips without him, but honestly we find going with him, and his girlfriend of 3 years, to be a lot o
For us it has to be the bar at the California Grill! We typically split whatever the special meal is at the time and maybe add one more sushi roll. Throw in a couple drinks and it is the best date night!
It has been a while since we ran a Run Disney Race, but my best recommendation is to have fun with it. We did several of the 10k races pre covid and I think we went down too focused on the running of the race itself. Looking back, I wish we would have taken more time to do more of the photo ops, the extra events, and j
We just recently closed on our first contract at AKL. We have stayed there a couple of times in the past, but our first trip as owners is planned for early November. We were going to go late fall, but we opted for Christmas Decor instead of Halloween. Our son Graduates college in December, so we will likely go on a gra
