I know the ROFR Monster seems to be on a diet and not eating a whole lot, but it sure is taking its time looking at the menu of offerings. Early spring he was passing on deals in a week or so, now he seems to be taking 3-4 weeks to make up his mind.
For a single buyer, this would be a HUGE purchase. When you break it down for Disney, its similar to buying back 6-8 medium contracts, which is not that big of deal for them. It is interesting to think how their budget works as inventory is revenue generating. If they buy back 1500 points, and they are able to turn the
Interesting.... Would it let you book at the Riviera?
You would own at either Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge, they are separate. You would get the 11 month window at whichever one you own, but not the other. From my understanding AKL is the only resort where you would get the 11 month window at both properties (Kidani Village or Jambo House). Also something to keep in mind
Thank you!! We are really looking forward to staying there, but it probably wont be until later next year. We already have several trips booked over the next 9 months but you can bet the next one scheduled will be at CCV!!
Friday's have a way of taking a weird turn. We have been talking about doing a Poly tour during our visit next month and possibly buying our first direct contract, but we have left ourselves open if we seen a BLT or AKV contract opened up in our use year for the right price. Then this past Friday comes, and an alert po
I just ordered up a couple Camelback collapsible water bottles with a Prime Day discount for our July trip. They look like they can roll up and fit in a pocket. Also, Costco has the Liquid IV packets on sale this month ($20.99 for a 30 pack).
30 days, 137 days, and 210 days. This is the first time we have ever had more than 1 trip booked at one time! On one of the recent DVC Show's they discussed the hidden costs of being a DVC member, and I believe frequent trips were one of them. When you look and you can get round trip flight from Michigan for under $200
Sorry, that should have been in response to the comment @Sparkle_Steffie made on the selling of the odd number of points.
That's a good point. I didn't look at it from that angle. So, if somebody was short 36 points for a trip they would just sell them 36 points. It just seems like multiples of 5 or 10 would make the accounting easier.
I still need to learn the ins and outs of the one time use points. I did work with a DVC associate last Friday and purchased a couple of points because we were 1 night short of a last minute trip next month with 1 point available. By a stoke of luck I looked and there was the night we needed at a value studio at AKL an
My thoughts would be around 75 points or less would be small. In most cases, 75 points by themselves, would only be good for a 3-5 night stay, so you are going to typically add them to another contract at some point. I know you can stretch the points depending on travel period, and if you can book a value studio, or st
That is good to know. It you are looking for something specific to keep checking, even if you are on the waitlist.
I'm just going off of personal experience with working directly with Disney DVC reps just over a year ago. We were looking at Animal Kingdom, Bay Lake, and Saratoga Springs and they all had tiered incentives. Using Saratoga as an example (I still have all of the price sheets they sent me), at the time if you got 150 po
We tried with 2 different computers and neither one got in, unless we wanted to do some yoga. :( We will save the points for another fall trip.
If people have dates waitlisted, wouldn't the canceled reservation first go to the waitlist before being eligible for a new booking?
Even resorts that are not "active" still have incentives. Typically the more you buy the better the saving are. When we were shopping direct about a year ago Incentives started at 150 points and varied depending on the resort, and then went up from there.
Anybody having luck today with the races? Yesterday I told my wife that it would be fun to do another Run Disney event, and she told me that the princess registration opened up today, so we thought we might do the 5k and got in the que about 9:30. Its just after 11 and its still showing "more than an hour" wait with th
The Walt Disney World Speedway. It was the home to the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I believe they closed it about 10 years ago and extended out the MK Parking lot and maybe put a smaller lake in for wet land conservation.
