New Owner Booking Tips/Tricks
We just passed ROFR! Still waiting on our points to load. But since I am new to this my question is about the best way to book an October '26 trip, looking for a Th-Sun. We want to book a one bedroom and would love to stay at our home resort BLT, but I know that it could be impossible. So what is your suggestion....book at whatever is available and add ourselves to the waitlist for BLT? We also want to book a March 2027 trip one bedroom at BLT, obviously we have missed that 11 month window for that trip.
Anyway, what are you suggestions and tips for getting both of those trips with a limited time frame? First time booking so this is ALL new to us.
Currently, there is some availability at a BLT 1 bedroom depending on the Th-Sun you pick. There are also several other resorts with availability, so I'm going to hope your points load up and you'll be selecting your stay soon!

Sorry to piggyback on your post but I also just passed ROFR on a contract at BWV
I want to stay at my home resort for a week Saturday to Saturday May 15-22nd 2027.
First of all do i have a hope in hell of getting the full 7 days or am j best bookinh it as a 4 and a 3 nights?
What tips would you give someone new?
The 11 month window hasn't opened yet, you'll be fine getting BWV when it does. Maybe not standard view as those seem to be walked year round. That's assuming your points are loaded, I'm not familiar with how long that takes.
SupporterSupporterWe almost never have an issue booking a 1 or 2br villa at either BWV or BLT at the 11 month window. Studios are another issue, I think due to commercial renters. When we could not get BWV, our default fall back is OKW. It is very laid back and relaxing. Sure, you have to bus everywhere, but that was not an issue. Have not tried SSR, which also seems to have good availability. Also keep an eye on the DVC website, they have posted "Last Minute Get Aways" that sometimes have a week or so at BWV.
