Where are my Grand Cal owners? Grand Californian is currently the only DVC property that has a dedicated theme park entrance (into DCA). What a great
For those that have been members at VGC for a while I have some questions. The parking is across the street by the Pixar Hotel? Additionally, I had re…
Parking is across the street by Pixar. When we were there last, the lot was undergoing construction so they sent us to the Pixar Parking Garage. We just used Valet instead. It was a splurge, but worth it.
There is an underground lot, but I believe you are correct that is valet.

We're renting a vehicle for one day to go to the Walt Disney Studios tour (staying at VGC on points), so we rented from the Enterprise at Pixar...im picking up the vehicle the evening before as their operating hours are not going to work for our early tour time day-of.
**So am i probably just renting a vehicle and driving it across the side street to park? (As opposed to driving to VGC across the street 😅)
Ive been to the grand Californian and staye at Pixar (before the retheme) but never had a vehicle there.
Thanks

That sounds right. What you'll probably want to do though is drive the vehicle across the street to the Grand Cal so you can get the parking pass for your window, then drive back and park it in the lot. I don't know how carefully they patrol that lot, but better safe than sorry IMO.

Oh thanks i appreciate that! I have no idea how that would have worked out 🤣
Does anyone know for sure how to get those grills outside the DVC wing fired up? I gave it a cursory glance last time I was there but couldn't figure it out. We're going with a large group in a couple weeks and would like to use them for a couple of dinners...
VGC owner since 2010 and go almost every year when we host foreign exchange summer students. We have never been disappointed until the refurb.. Does anyone know when the owner’s meeting will be, I’d like to go this year.
Also, I recommend renting a cabana there. No other service or experience like it and it is worth the $400 for 1/2 day. If you didn’t know it, there is a viewing balcony in the villas area to watch the DCA show.

@GrandCalGal Is the viewing area still available? I want to do a cabana one day, some day!

Yes, just ask a cast member on how to get to the location within the DVC building. Even if you don’t get a cabana (its $$$$), when we are there in the summer, there are servers who walk through the pool areas to take and deliver orders from the bar and restaurant. THe chaise lounges are the most comfortable of any Disney resort I have been to (havent stayed at GF) just try to find a spot to enjoy.
