Yes, if you are parked at a designated lot (including the TTC) for a park, you can use the bus, monorail, or boat to go to the different resorts. The current only exception is going from Disney Springs to a resort without a valid dining reservation or stay. Of course, this id always subject to change and as always, YMM
The rules say, if you do not have a room or dining reservation you cannot park. This rule is very fickle depending on the resort and the individual security guard at the gate. To be on the safe side, you can park at the TTC, take the express monorail to the MK and take a boat to Wilderness Lodge. It is actually closer
Not at all. The Grand Floridian has 2 pools, and a splash zone for littles. They have been refurbishing the walking paths, but that is part of the whole refurbishment project and not for DVC specifically. The two DVC buildings, the original and Big Pine Key are not involved in the resort refurbishment that i know of.
As long as the points have posted to your 2027 points, you can borrow from the 2027 bucket to use in Jan 27 (as a 2026 borrowing). I always get confused with the December use year for this reason. That’s why I’m glad we have February use years on all our contracts. For a December use year : Your points run from Decembe
Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs has it on their seasonal menu currently. I've seen them have it several times during the year.
The thing to remember is that if you hear of a deal, you can call and see if it can be applied to your tickets, if you bought from Disney. I'm not familiar with other discount ticket purchases and how Disney promotions would apply.
IMHO the sooner you buy the better. I cannot imagine they get cheaper over time. Also, there is usually an October price increase then a January one. Get them while you are sure of your dates. Remember if you have date based tickets and have to move dates, they cannot be refunded, but they can be pushed later.
If you plan to camp out in the MK I might suggest Liberty Tree for the all you care to enjoy holiday favorites. Just remember that if you decide to leave the MK you might not be able to get back in. They regularly reach capacity.
I don’t think Disney is stopping guests from visiting other resorts. They are stopping non-guests from taking the Disney Springs buses to the resorts. All guests can still visit any of the Disney resorts by the free transportation offered. Driving yourself to other resorts requires a dining reservation, but the skyline
The Grand Floridian gingerbread house will not return this holiday season. Instead, Disney's culinary teams will create new miniature holiday displays for the resort. More details, including details about gingerbread displays at other resorts, will be shared later this year. This was their response to backlash over ann
I don’t know that this is affecting many locals. I do think it’s going to affect the good neighbor hotel guests who want to resort hop. I think locals would have APs that would cover parking anyway.
All February use year. Don’t want to mess with worrying about points expiring at different times.
We have 5 contracts between 2 resorts. 100 VGF Direct 25 VGF Direct 150 VGF Resale 100 BCV Resale 160 BCV Resale We typically stay for 10 nights split between the two resorts, but last year we ended up banking the whole amount due to a medical issue. Thus, we had a week at BLT in April to go with our 10 days in Novembe
I wear both my Magicband+ on one arm snd my Apple Watch on the other. That way I don’t have to contort to swipe in to the parks. Which is hard from my wheelchair.
When you say you bought points, do you mean you rented points? Or do you own a contact for yearly points at CCV, or did you buy one time use points?
Way back when before we bought DVC, we used to go to the Royal Palm Club at the Grand Floridian for a week at a time. All cash stays, then i did the research, and the math and we bought VGF. After two years we had made back what we were at the break even point. Now, for a treat, I’ll book a two day add on at the end of
You left out the walikg path walk to GF and continue on to the MK. If staying at the tower, it could be easier. Same can be said from the tower to the monorail…. Walk to GF and grab the monorail there 1 stop closer.
The best restroom in MK is inside Tomorrowland Terrace. Since the restaurant isnt open people forget its thete. They all congregate at the one by the Plaza.
If I could have him do one thing, it’s bring back the “streetsmosphere” people to the parks. The mayor of Main Street and co. In MK, the hollywood characters walking around Studios, even the robot and muppet mobile labs in Epcot. While we’re at it bring back the Grand Floridian orchesrta.
