I bought points at Copper Creek and for many reasons I am not able to use them. Could I trade them for Saratoga Springs or Animal Kingdom points? Or do I have to sell the CC points first and them buy the SSR points I want?

When you say you bought points, do you mean you rented points? Or do you own a contact for yearly points at CCV, or did you buy one time use points?

If you could provide any clarification that would be helpful. When you say bought, you mean a CCV contract? Or did you rent an existing reservation on the rental store? Or are you wanting 7-11 month booking priority at these other resorts?

But in general, you can use CCV points to stay at SSR/AKV without issue (including resale).. all three of these fall into the original 14 so can be booked at the 7 month window (usaully with good availability, especailly at SSR/AKV) without needing do anything but book using your points.

You would have to sell them and pay a pretty hefty commission and then buy a new contract and pay the new contracts closing costs. It’s a pretty expensive venture that I would only do if you’re 100% sure that your current contract doesn’t mean your needs.

Additionally, given that Saratoga Springs usually has a lot of availability inside of seven months, I question why you couldn’t just use your copper creek contract to book rooms at Saratoga Springs. If these are for sleep around points, then I can’t imagine it’s worthwhile to switch and pay the commissions and closing costs.
