A similar question was recently asked on the DVC Fan Facebook page. The general consensus was that it is not in Disney's interest to do it because they want people to buy, and more importantly finance, through them. With being able to add on direct perks/"blue card" benefits there would be no incentive to buy direct. P
We found it best to always be ready, so we walk 3-4 miles everyday. You never know when a cheap flight may present itself and/or a random room availability may pop up for a weekend!!
I've got a completely different thought process. I would go with a February or March use year. With a February use year you need to bank by 9/30 and for March you would have until 10/31. We got the closing email on 7/28, and the contract and points were added to our account on 8/17.
Do you have a delayed closing? I've seen it where, using this as an example, the sellers have a trip planned in February 2027 using 2028 points, and they can close right after. There could be other explanations, this is the just the one I have seen.
That would be interesting if the Wilderness and Lakeshore have to share a bus route. Is Wilderness Lodge sharing one with Fort Wilderness now? I could see Fort Wilderness and Lakeshore having to share a route, but I would have thought the Wilderness Lodge would have its own run.
I think the location that surprised me the most on this was AKL with 1644 rooms between Jambo and Kidani. The fact that they share bus service, and its their only mode of transportation, it is surprising that they don't have bigger transportation issues. You would own at either Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge, they are separate. You would get the 11 month window at whichever one you own, but not the other.
