Making an Offer - Etiquette

I'm looking to stay in the 200 range. There was a 215 pointer with 94 left in 2025 that we almost pulled the trigger on. There was a BIG 450-470 that had been on the market for a while and was trying to justify it but it sold (probably a good thing! lol)

Making an Offer - Etiquette

I just set up an alert for Copper Creek so we'll keep an eye on that one! A SSR contract came up that we put an offer in late yesterday and now putting a deposit! It had points for 2025 that we could use to extend our October Trip and some banked points to try to add in the December trip. That'll take care of our walk

Making an Offer - Etiquette

Thanks - it's been an interesting experience as every contract that we were watching ended up selling quickly after it went to the save list. Yesterday, I almost put an offer on a Copper Creek that had some 2025 points left but the site it was being sold at sent up a warning that the seller wouldn't take less than a 1/

What's the benefit to owning multiple home resorts?

Ok.... opinions on having close use years? We have December and been wanting to make life easy by keeping it that way, BUT I've seen some February ones that are very tempting. I'm trying to find Dec UY with 2025 points since I want a second trip this year without borrowing from next year. The February 2026 are this yea

AddOn-Itis - how do you know when?

I'm new to this.... so I had add-on-itis after our first DVC trip. The trip was with friends and not family so NOW I want to have points to do a friends trip as well as having the family trip set aside. Stretch goals? I'd love to stay at the Cabins, the Bungalows, and a month long trip. ;) We've increased our vacationi

What's the benefit to owning multiple home resorts?

Definitely - we do want to stay at the Treehouse Villas at some point. We may look into a smaller contract than initially considered b/c we do want to make sure that we leave powder dry to see how the new Lakeshore Lodge comes in. We'll have our direct points with Poly to allow us to book there at 7 months at some poin

Dining plan vs DVC Discount

Our family has done the dining plan for each trip (sometimes free, sometimes not) but it's not so we save money. I will get spending fatigue regardless of knowing that the food has been budgeted (my wife knows me well) so she does the dining plan so that I don't have to grab the debit card each time and she loves to pl

What is your hidden gem restaurant at Disney?

Our first trip was in '06 (my wife and I) and one of the places we went and had a great time at was Tusker House. Family life happened so we didn't end up going back till 2017 and Tusker was a required stop. 2024.... required. 2025.... required. ;) 2026? We shall see - the kids get to each have a pick now. What's the benefit to owning multiple home resorts?

Thank you for all the replies! We will "always" be scheduling out a family trip each year - that was the reason we finally committed to DVC - and that 11 month window for Poly is pretty important. We currently have enough points to do a 2 bedroom for the stay we desire. What accelerated the discussion of adding on more

DVC Ownership Approach

We are sitting on 400 pts right now - 2 - 200 point contracts. Ideally, we want to get two more 200 point contracts so that when we get a little older that we can gift 200 points to each one of our children. We are at Poly and I've been thinking about looking at other resorts but not sure of the proper course. I like t
