Hoop De Doo has become a Hoop De Must - We brought it up with the kids for the upcoming October trip and all four don't want to miss it. We took our friends last December to Hoop De Doo and they all enjoyed it (want to go back for our Bonus trip this year!). I haven't met a person that doesn't love it after going. And,
Quick Follow up - We ended up going with SSR as a way to bridge our points. Since we want to eventually go to all the resorts this definitely seemed to be the more economical way. So far we've been able to book Poly, Vero, SSR, BLT, AKL, BRV. We missed out on a BWV stay that came up during our search but were able to g
You think that's for add-on points or for the new Lakeshore Lodge contracts? Or both?
We live near Cotino and I agree that it's giving you some of the Disney magic but, for us, it doesn't provide enough of the magic. The restaurant, the Incredibles house, and some of the layouts are pretty cool but the cost for the use of the services and the walking paths/parks just feels out of sync. I would have expe
We're originally from Texas as well! My parents moved me out to California in '88 so we moved from a humid heat to a dry heat and now vacation in humidity yet again. ;) Our resale contract just got placed into our account so my wife went to town getting the rest of the year planned. October - 2 nights @ Vero Beach in h
The one we got for our friends closed yesterday. We went out to celebrate and plan for the upcoming trip. ;) I was surprised after it said it could take 6 weeks. I've never been to Boardwalk but it sure looks like a great time being able to just walk right into the park.
Just to give an update - we got our emails from the title company May 19th and a May 22nd confirmation on deed being recorded. We received our points today - May 26th. Pretty quick turn around. We're currently waiting to hear back from one of my friends that bought a contract for. It closed a couple days before ours an
I couldn't get a good picture for the life of me the last two trips so we have to go back to '06 for this guy.
I miss having a nice camera but I also don't miss having to lug it around (sad thing - it didn't have image stability to taking night shots was impossible).

Passed ROFR so we sre sitting at 600. That gives us our dedicated Poly points for the family and then extra for a second trip or add on days for split trips.
I'm going big.... I want to see a new theme park. I asked my kids and one said do an Animation Kingdom.... have an Inside Out land, Tangled Land, etc. I would love to see a proper Tron land just because walking into that lit up land at night would be awesome.
Did the same - purchased two contracts direct with the intent that we would add more points along the way to have a total of four contracts eventually for the four kids.
Hmm.... we have an October Poly trip which will be the first time as a family with all the kids (we went in December with friends and that was our welcome home). We are tentatively planning a December trip but waiting on ROFR on our new contract.
I would work for them if I could just transition from being a home builder here in California to building a new Golden Oaks on Disney property. ;) I've also talked to my daughters about trying to go into the program. My oldest is an artist and wants to do voice acting. I think it would be good experience for her but @
I'll wait to see if we don't get ROFR'd before voting. ;)
If our contract doesn't get purchased by Disney then we plan on staying at SSR for the extra days we want to add to our trip. We probably won't do it this time but the kids want to stay at the Treehouse Villas.
I definitely wish I had committed sooner but we are blessed that we can afford to purchase points and get those years in now (96/pt sounds better than the 195/pt we averaged out to). I do look forward to see Lakeshore Lodge and hope that we can sneak in at the 7 month mark relatively quick after it opens. Wishful think
We did Magical Beginning as well - that went a long way to cementing the Direct for us. We've put some of the benefits to good use already.
Unfortunately, I cannot answer that one accurately. We purchased direct @ Poly last year so the incentives for Add-On were existing. From what I was told, you had to wait till the next promotional cycle but I cannot confirm. It's a pretty substantial difference between first time and add-on. 200 points is 9/pt off and
