Split Stays?
We own 3 home resorts at WDW, BWV, BLT, and AKV. So Split Stays are a natural fit for us. We usually do at least 5 days per home resort on each trip. Thats right a 3 way split. Each resort has it's own charm and vibe, so it's like having 3 vacations! In California we own both GCV and VDH so Split stays there as well. M
Bought Sight Unseen
Yup cannt escape the TOT. (which means death in German, BTW!). I think cheap materials is a DVC wide issue. THe newest refurbs can be a little shoddy as well. Bummer
Bought Sight Unseen
Hi @DVCken We bought VDH sight unseen when it first went on sale. We missed out on VGC when it was first offered as kids, life, etc were in the way. Being in Seattle, we can get down to California much easier than Orlando so we took the plunge. Almost regret it. Dont get me wrong, it is a great resort. It is Beautiful,
Hello from Seattle Suburb
Hi @DisneyMom Another Fellow Suburban Seattleite here. We have been members since the kids were small, way back in 1996. Bought at Boardwalk and never looked back. We now own at 3 WDW resorts and the 2 in California. We are also an anomaly since we bought all our points direct when they were running different incentive
Long Flight Club
Amen. Now redeye flights for anymore either. So you waste 2 days getting there. 1 day in the air and 1 day recovering. Not Optimal!~
Long Flight Club
Our home airport is SeaTac here in Seattle. it is close to the longest flight in the lower 48. 6 hours plus. We have 2 choices for non stop. Alaska and Delta. We have been flying Delta for years and have pretty good luck. Howerver 2 days of vacation is pretty wasted on having our buts in airplane seats. We almost alway

You are Spot on IMNSHO! The outside of PIT screams Medical Center, not Island Paradise. From other posts I gather that Bell Services has not worked out how to serve the tower well. Long Waits, No shows, etc. I have talked to many members that share the poor opinion of all that is PIT. But it continue to sell. To each t
Upcoming 2026 Trips (Disney and Other)
Hey all, Already posted about our October trip to BLT and BWV. Reservations all made for that one. Just waiting on getting MNSSHP tickets. We are taking the Grandkids (and parents) to DLR in April. Split stay VDH and VGC. Happy to report that VDH reservations have been made. Now waiting to make the VGC part. First week
Upcoming 2026 Trips (Disney and Other)
May is going to be a big month for reservations at grandpa's house. First we have a trip to DLR planned with the grandkiddos in April, so May is 11 month mark. This is going to be their first DLR trip. We have taken them several times to WDW and they loved it. Great to see the magic through their eyes. And yes their pa
BoardWalk Villas Owners Thread
Welcome Home! We have been at the Boardwalk since 1996. Going to ride it into 2042! Great location. I can hardly wait until I see what they have going on in Jelly Rolls and the Big River. Not to mention the gallery. There is life in the old place yet! Hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Our kids grew up on WDW there.
Favorite WDW DVC Resorts Ranked
We stayed at the Tree Houses back before Saratoga Springs, around 1996. They had a bedroom downstairs at that time. It has since been removed. We would love to stay there again.
Unpopular DVC Opinions
Dont like VDH so much. Views can be very very bad. Materials used in the room are cheap and shoddy. Walk back from the parks in afternoon can be killer since Monorail is very unreliable. And you have to pay the TOT. Poly Tower and RIV. These could have been Great! But are underwhelming sterile towers. Gone are the days
