+1 as well. We have always rented a car and agree, it is well worth the expense. Using DVC as a home base for other side trips is priceless. It has become a family tradition to visit GatorLand every trip. Not to mention the trips to the grocery store or to Steak-N-Shake. (We do not have Steak-N-Shake around us). Freedo

Hello - I'm Ryan one of your moderators

Hi Ryan, We are from Seattle and have been members since 1996 with a 250 point purchase at BWV. I was at the Boardwalk for a conference and brought the wife. She did a lot of resort hopping while I was in meetings. She pulled me into a DVC presentation at the boardwalk and the rest is history. We took the family the fo

Annual Passes or No?

We do the Sorcerer pass. Very worth it for us. Besides the possible cost savings, it gives us real flexibility. We dont have to worry about park hopping or if we have enough days left on a ticket. DVC Ownership Approach

We started in 1996 at BWV. We bought 250 points (a real stretch for us then). This would allow us to have a 1 or 2 bedroom stay for a week. Disney just does not build resorts like this anymore, such a pity. It is truly Grand! AKV, WL, and GC had the same architect and it really shows. That was

Bay Lake Tower Owners Thread

BLT was our first Add On. We bought sight unseen. Must admit we were a little disappointed when we first walked in. It was a bit underwhelming. Our first resort was BWV and BLT was not that! HOWEVER, when we first entered our 2 bedroom villa with the grandkids and family that all changed. Great Space, 3 bathrooms, Grea

BoardWalk Villas Owners Thread

BWV was our original resort back in 1996. It has lost a lot of its past glory. Back in those days it was a destination. People would come to visit ESPN, Jellyroles, etc and not stay at the resort. I think it competed a bit with DownTown Disney OOPS Disney Springs. They had Pleasure Island back then at DS, but you neede
