Oh yeah it makes sense for dining since you can book dining 60 days out and points don't go into holding until 30 days out. I was thinking more around Lightning Lanes which are booked 7 days out. Oh that is good to hear. I think it would have been fine if they tacked on a 20% service charge and then said no tipping required and didn't even ask for a tip on the credit card receipt.
I was thinking along the same lines and if true thats really sad, especially to be replaced by AI which will do a worse job than the people it replaces.
I don't think this would really work, how do you avoid holding? If you modify a reservation that is less than 30 days out, the new reservation would utilize points in holding, so it would work I guess if you're staying at the resort further out, but if you cancel after that the points would remain in holding.

Its usually 2 trips for the Sorcerer Pass for 8-10 days total. It costs $929 + tax to renew a Sorcerer Pass. If you do 2 4-day trips you'd make out better with the AP. Nice, I haven't tried recently - but maybe will give it a go when we're down in June. A bunch of folks have mentioned Trattoria Al Forno - and I forgot but I do agree I think that is a hidden gem that is usually easy to get a table at and has pretty good food.
I think we're all disappointed with the refurb, I'm just happy that DVC listened to us and are going back and doing a second refurb - hopefully it won't end up costing us tons of money in our annual dues though. Looking forward to seeing what they change though!
Love seeing all of the BCV owners and folks who love BCV! You've brought up some great reasons to love BCV. BWV often seems to get more love between the 2 Crescent Lake resorts and having stayed at both I can see the pros and cons to each, but BCV is still my favorite :)
Obviously a refillable water bottle and make sure you get ice water from a QS restaurant and stay hydrated. Forget the Disney shirts, sweat wicking shirts are a must. Nice! Island Tower is really nice. You have to checkout the Island Tower Terrace Gardens, which are only accessible to those staying at Island Tower (keycard required to go up in the elevator). I wouldn't recommend buying Direct for Moonlight Magic perks. You could use the money you saved to go to 1 paid After Hours event each year and get a similar experience and probably save money, Moonlight Magic is also never guaranteed and it is a lottery on whether you get in or not. The one direct perk that imho makes

They don't automatically deliver the luggage to your room. What you do is call Bell Services when you get to your room and they will bring up your luggage. We rent a car usually so depending on my schedule, sometimes I will opt to load the luggage into the car and then bring it up to the room from the car once the room
