DVC Comma Club

Oh yeah it makes sense for dining since you can book dining 60 days out and points don't go into holding until 30 days out. I was thinking more around Lightning Lanes which are booked 7 days out. It would work, but your points would go into holding. Maybe if you have another trip planned in the near future it could wor

DVC Comma Club

I don't think this would really work, how do you avoid holding? If you modify a reservation that is less than 30 days out, the new reservation would utilize points in holding, so it would work I guess if you're staying at the resort further out, but if you cancel after that the points would remain in holding.

Hey now!

Lets Go Rangers! 😁 They're terrible this year though. Love watching hockey, just not so much this year lol. Welcome to the forums! Are you a DVC Member and if so where do you own at?

Annual Passes

Its usually 2 trips for the Sorcerer Pass for 8-10 days total. It costs $929 + tax to renew a Sorcerer Pass. If you do 2 4-day trips you'd make out better with the AP. If you consider for a summer promotion, Disney is currently selling a "Magic" ticket with 4 days (1 day at each park) no park hopping for the summer and

Villas at Grand Californian Owners Thread

I think we're all disappointed with the refurb, I'm just happy that DVC listened to us and are going back and doing a second refurb - hopefully it won't end up costing us tons of money in our annual dues though. Looking forward to seeing what they change though!

Beach Club Villas Owners Thread

Love seeing all of the BCV owners and folks who love BCV! You've brought up some great reasons to love BCV. BWV often seems to get more love between the 2 Crescent Lake resorts and having stayed at both I can see the pros and cons to each, but BCV is still my favorite :)

Tips for Surviving Summer/Early Fall Trips

Obviously a refillable water bottle and make sure you get ice water from a QS restaurant and stay hydrated. Forget the Disney shirts, sweat wicking shirts are a must. Not only do they help keep you cool, they are quick dry so if it does rain your clothes dry quickly. You can also get quick drying shorts. I also bought

First Poly Tower Stay!

Nice! Island Tower is really nice. You have to checkout the Island Tower Terrace Gardens, which are only accessible to those staying at Island Tower (keycard required to go up in the elevator). You can watch the fireworks from one of the Terrace Gardens too but it can get crowded there. Definitely try to grab food and

Walking at 7 months

Walking works best if you have the extra points to do it w/o cancelling your primary reservation. I don't recommend walking a reservation at the 7 month mark unless you have the extra points to do so, because someone with home resort advantage could just swoop in and book the room out from under you - and if you modifi

On the fence about DVC resale...

I wouldn't recommend buying Direct for Moonlight Magic perks. You could use the money you saved to go to 1 paid After Hours event each year and get a similar experience and probably save money, Moonlight Magic is also never guaranteed and it is a lottery on whether you get in or not. The one direct perk that imho makes

Where My Split Stay Folks At?

It probably doesn't hurt to call or chat to get both reservations linked together. But not absolutely necessary. For me, I've just told the front desk when checking in on my first reservation and then they usually link the 2 reservations together right then and there. Then on the checkout day of my first reservation, I

Where My Split Stay Folks At?

They don't automatically deliver the luggage to your room. What you do is call Bell Services when you get to your room and they will bring up your luggage. We rent a car usually so depending on my schedule, sometimes I will opt to load the luggage into the car and then bring it up to the room from the car once the room

Universal Parks

Open Hub Concept Coming to Epic Universe?

I hate this idea, but its because the facial recognition never works for me. I even had guest services delete my photo and did it again and it still doesn't work for me. TBH, I'm wondering if their facial recognition is racist 🤣 If it is only after 6pm maybe it won't be so bad - but I'd hate to have to fish for my par

Annual Passes or No?

For those who only visit once per year, one way to take advantage of the Sorcerer Pass is to use the pass for your once a year trip and then schedule your next trip less than 12 months away, even 11 months and 3 weeks. So you get 2 trips out of 1 Sorcerer Pass, don't renew and start all over with your next trip. It wou
