67 days until 10 days at OKW, our longest stay by far and, if it wasn't for DVC, something we'd NEVER be able to do, even at a moderate resort.

Kidani has a great pool and it's isolated and feels like it's own place unlike many of the pools at the resorts. It 100% is an emotional purchase, in my opinion :). The only way that you can sort of convince yourself it's not is that eventually you'll be saving money and it'll "pay for itself" from those savings as retail resort pricing goes up. For some people, espeically those like myself that are susceptible to FOMO, for sure. I want to be able to stay in all of the new resorts when they are built. For others that are looking to save a bunch of money and are ok with the limited resort(s) that are bound to the resale contract and aren't really that intereste
Most Available WDW Resorts At The 7-Month Window
It's going to be the older resorts with the larger properties... OKW/SSR/AKV.. and even then it's going to be by room type, i.e. 1 bedrooms are usually more available than studios, etc. Otherwise, be comfortable with split stays, and if you have to wait list, book 1 day at a time because getting a single day is easier

This is why if you buy resale, make sure at least it has access to everything before Riviera unless you really really like the property you’re buying into and even then your competition for availability will only go up :(

Never. They don’t make money from resale (except now the $500). The resale restricted properties being oversubscribed are future Disney employees and future resale owners problems.

Eventually we'll up with a Resale contract, but FOMO never goes away and not being able to use points at newer resorts (looking at Lakeshore Lodge) is the biggest reason that we have three contracts that are all resale. The FOMO doesn't go away :)

When you say crowded, I'm assuming you mean in the front shopping/eatery area, or rather specifically where you order beignets? I've stayed at both FQ and Riverside and they're very spread out and peaceful.. except for the QS locations of course.

I know you're not saying this but for the benefit of anyone reading this in the future.. it's not a requirement that all of your contracts be in the same UY, it's just that most people just prefer it that way (as do I).

I think resort mugs in general aren’t worth it, especially when you have a full size fridge in the 1 bedrooms and can buy soda to bring. We actually invested in one of those refrigerator coolers that are actually refrigerators but small so we show up with a full cooler of cold soda. It’s paid for itself not to have to
