We've stayed at Riviera, and really enjoyed it. The Skyliner is great. We strongly considered buying at Riviera when we bought Disneyland. We are also Copper Creek owners!
What is everyone's go to source for Disneyland Forward news? So far the best I've found is Hey Brickey and The Disney Path.
We are smack in the middle of 4 trips in 13 months....and its way too much for us 🤣
That was a great location. I loved being so close to the elevators.
I can't remember the room number. But 5th floor, left out of the elevators, the door dead straight ahead.
Congrats and good luck beating that ROFR monster! My wife and I bought Copper Creek without ever having set foot on Wilderness Lodge property. We have a habit of risky DVC purchases; we just bought at the Disneyland Hotel without ever having visit California 🤣 Two weeks ago we stayed at Boulder Ridge for the 1st time,
At which resort did you buy your first contract? We just bought our 2nd contract at the Disneyland Hotel.
That'll be a fun trip...I can't wait to check out VDH and the DLR myself!
My wife and I checked out last Thursday morning from Boulder Ridge. When I got her, the kid and our luggage settled in the WL lobby, it felt warm. Warmer than it should have felt. When I went down to Roaring Fork to pick up our breakfast, I knew something was not right. It was roasting in there at 7:30am. I felt so bad
I am excited to say I can now call all of you neighbors. Just yesterday we bought 160 direct points at VDH. Now my brain can rest 😅. No more research, no more spreadsheets, no more pros and cons lists, no more driving my wife crazy switching from VDH to the Poly to Riviera, back to VDH. Just fun vacations in the beaut
That's really good to hear! Maybe it's reckless but I'm really leaning towards buying before we ever visit California. I don't want to wait until after our visit in January 2027.
Thanks so much for your feedback! The ToT initially did bother me. But then I realized, if we want to visit Disneyland (we do) then we have to pay it no matter where we stay. As for the ToT being rolled into the Grand Cal's dues, that actually is a VDH selling point. We plan to use our VDH points at Riviera, or Lakesho
This is almost my line of thinking exactly. I'm also visiting in January. 🤣
