Springtime Surprise April 2026
I liked the Princess Half because of the cooler weather, but yes, it's hard to decide without knowing the themes.
1900 Park Fare thoughts
I went for dinner and thought it was a cute experience, but I'm not exactly running back. I recall liking the prime rib, saffron-lemon butter salmon, and warm chocolate cake. However, I remember that Paul, Amy, Jeff, and Panda went at a more crowded time and didn't exactly have a great experience when it came to the bu
New York DVC Members Lounge
Yes, I moved down! I wanted to be a DVC snowbird back in the day, but life took an unexpected turn. Being near the beach and within driving distance of Disney sounds like the best of both worlds!
AddOn-Itis - how do you know when?
The limit does not exist! jk. For me, it comes down to dues, and January really makes me reconsider any add-on-itis lol. Even when I'm tempted to add on more points for quick stays as a local, do I really want to pay more annual dues? As for your last question, pretty much the only deal Disney could offer that would ma
New York DVC Members Lounge
I'm now a local but was originally from NY (raised on LI and lived in Queens up until recently) and became a DVC Member when I was still there. There are so many flights to MCO from NY and FL that it was always easy to travel, and having DVC points made that even easier! I still travel between the two states pretty oft
Bay Lake Tower Owners Thread
It's so subjective whether the direct perks are worth it or not (I'm a hybrid member myself), but the price difference is still huge, even with the flash sale on BLT points.
Booking last minute / inside the 7-month window -- strategies and tips
Bell Services can help with that! Just make sure you take the essentials for the day with you since it sometimes takes until early evening to get your stuff at the next resort.
Best View You Ever Had (DVC)
This partial theme park view with MNSSHP from a Resort View BLT Deluxe Studio was also one of my favorites!
Best View You Ever Had (DVC)
It's hard to pick, but in my biased opinion a Boardwalk View room is always a favorite.
Moonlight Magic @ Hollywood Studios - April 22nd, 2026 Event Thread
Yes, it will be like a day or so before. I don't expect to see any know before you go info until next week.
Wine and Dine 2026
I'm signed up for the 5k so no after party but still looking forward to it!
Springtime Surprise April 2026
I was supposed to do the 5k, but I'll be cheering everyone on instead. I'll still pop around the expo to get my bib and shirt anyway. Good luck to everyone running, and have the best time!
Annual Passes or No?
I've had a Sorcerer Pass (or Gold Pass before that) since before I was a local, and I wouldn't upgrade it. Even being so close to Disney doesn't make it enticing to go during the holidays thanks to the crowds.
Where My Split Stay Folks At?
I still love split stays even with a toddler in tow! My favorite is BWV paired with either VGF or BLT to get the best transportation options with our stroller--plus, those are just my favorite resorts. I purposely plan split stays for longer trips, and this time I am taking advantage of the split stay to do the dining
What is your hidden gem restaurant at Disney?
Between Garden Grove and Rosa Mexicano, the Swan/Dolphin actually have some good, reasonably priced brunch or breakfast buffets! I guess along those same lines, the Fountain at the Dolphin can be a hidden gem if you're looking for an alternative to Beaches and Cream and just want burgers and ice cream without a reserva
No more room requests effective 4-19 !
Tried the chat, and Member Services says you can always make specific requests by contacting them, but then again, they are often the last to know about changes, so take it for what it's worth.
Booking last minute / inside the 7-month window -- strategies and tips
As a newish local, I still like to plan my big trips in advance like I always did in the past, but the spontaneous short stays are just a result of stalking the system, whether it's finding a last minute stay for Moonlight Magic or because I have family in town. I think summer tends to be easier for last minute finds,
The Membership Magic Beyond Option
A quick service discount, maybe a Tables-in-Wonderland-like discount for table service dining, and the possibility of adding on Club Level access would be cool since I am unlikely to ever splurge on a cash stay for that lol. As of now, MMB isn't worth it for my family.
