That lobby does look awesome if they can pull it off. Branch and Brush seems a little underwhelming based on that picture. For a resort the size of Lakeshore Lodge (massive!), that lounge seems really small. I like the idea of a chandelier that changes color based on season, though. But the rest of the lounge has a “me
Your reply actually proves my point. This resort is not small and, by your stats, it will be one of the largest WDW DVC resort (behind AKL and Grand Floridian). To my original point, I will reserve judgement until I see if the real thing provides all those "nature vibes" throughout the resort that are depicted in the c
Not to be cynical, but let’s wait and see. I remember most people complaining about Poly tower when it was getting built and saying it didn’t look that great. And then it was finished and people quickly fell in love with it…especially Wailulu. The concept art did it no justice. So who’s to say that the concept art for
Why don’t they call it “use month” instead if “use year”? I mean, the use “years” are identified by the month your points load each year…not by the year. Just something I find interesting. Our’s is June, by the way.
From my understanding, you are correct. Your ability to resort hop will not change since you stay on property. Anyone staying on property will be able to resort hop.
This policy is long overdue. The resorts and transportation were getting seriously overcrowded. This policy will cut down on that, which is great news for those that are paying the money to stay on property. I heard there were restrictions trying to walk from the Transportation Center to Poly, as well. They were turnin
We are attending Jollywood instead.
We used to reserve Sci-Fi for every trip. That place is the best when it is hot outside. My daughters, who are older now, loved that place. We didn't eat there for a few years and then went back last year. It didn't disappoint!
Going off the theme of small take out dining in the parks, we love the corndogs at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom. And it seems like every time we are there, a parade is going by. Add in the fact that it is right across the "moat" from the castle, it's a great quiet spot to grab a quick bite.
Yeah, it can get busy. But it depends when you try to ride it. If it’s after park closing, it is JAMMED. However, we have really good luck and don’t run into it being too busy when we are riding it mid-day. The monorail has a special place in my heart…it’s so Disney!
If you do, I recommend anytime from mid July through Labor Day. That’s when the horse track is running and the entire town is electric. Although, fall is also gorgeous with tons of things to do outside (Saratoga is located at the foot of the Adirondacks). Stay away from winter…it gets COLD!
Man, those pictures show just how massive that property is.
Honestly, I am shocked to see the Monorail getting beat so badly in this poll. It’s iconic with Disney. I thought more people would vote for it just for that reason alone.
Disney should definitely extend the Skyliner to Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom resorts. Total no-brainer. That would make them feel a little more connected to the rest of WDW.
I 100% with "buy where you want to stay". You'll be sorry if you don't, especially when you go to book at 7 months during a busy time of year. Also, everyone must make the decision between resale or direct (other than those that don't even know resale exists!). For us, resale was a no-brainer! We bought a 200 point BCV
Correct. I recently posted a comment on this exact point. When I bought into BCV, I calculated the average dues increase per year over the life of the contract based on the historical dues increases each year. I also looked at the average variance off that average (how often and by how much, on average, is there a spik
There have always been two different colored building at BCV. The light blue color if for the non-DVC part of the resort. When the DVC portion of BCV was built, they used the different color to identify that DVC portion.
Crossing my fingers for you that you make it through ROFR! You made the correct choice...BCV is the BEST! To answer your question on securing a reservation, it depends on the time of year that you want to stay and the room you are trying to book. We usually go during busy times (October-December, Run Disney) and, provi
I agree on the extension. If Beach Club offers an extension, I will probably sprint to buy it. But from everything I hear on podcasts, DVC is unlikely to do another extension due to the chaos of the OKW extension. We'll see. We are kicking the tires on the idea of selling our BCV and using that money to purchase somewh
That’s aweful. People can be so rude and inconsiderate. The rule is to treat things like they were your own. I don’t know if it’s because people are paying for a room so they feel they can do whatever they want with it? Or maybe DVC owners think they can do whatever they want because they are “owners”? Although, they w
