Banking and Borrowing points from a cancelled reservation
You can always call member services and beg them in the nicest voice possible to put the borrowed points back in their original use year. I have been successful with this a few times.

Thanks for posting that, I can see this being a viable thing for a short stay, particularly the Quick Service Dining Plan.
We did it once, we did not like because we felt it steered us into making certain choices that we would not otherwise make and overall take was that it technically saved money had we made those choices without the DDP. However, if we didn't have the DDP we would not have made those same choices. A couple of years ago w
Sorry, answered my own question, it opened in 1990 - https://d23.com/a-to-z/international-gateway/
Have they ever added an entrance to a park at WDW after that park opened? When did the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT become a thing? I don't remember it from the 1980s but it's possible I wasn't paying attention. I know they recently added the Pixar Pier entrance to California Adventure.
Watch our for coyotes and bobcats too. We saw coyote on DVC Drive across from SSR near OKW and I saw a bobcat on the path between SSR and OKW.
I would love it if they did it but it would be a very significant construction project between building the bridge, building the new entrance, and then doing modifications to the bake stage areas behind Germany and the Refreshment Outpost so guests are not walking through back stage areas (I looked at overhead maps, th
Good news for the Alaska cruises - https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/ports-destinations/disney-cruise-line-inks-15-year-deal-for-icy-strait-point-calls
I had a similar thought when Riviera was built in 2019 but given how busy East Buena Vista Drive is I think they would need to build a walking bridge similar to what they did at Disney Springs.

I was really disappointed with that book, I gave it a pretty brutal review on Amazon.
These books by Jim Korkis are great: https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Stories-Walt-Disney-World-ebook/dp/B0DK4382LX/ref=sr_1_3?crid=SR4TEBUBPCVB&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.9_XvTwHZRtxYsQFYiwO1P7f75R4Nw94SbEKQowliFcfDS6xAcCaPQgg9YmM9m-KLMSceLq7O6S0QezvabqT1NKNM60addqCludbu0CgeeCxQ1Z0HW5GlHKXCMeJKftM4gugX7cpbBlpBYzX4wPJi3DKPgyA5B0NAB
This has been an issue for a long time (as in before bots were a thing I think). My theory is that right before 0800 hours is when the wait list function scrapes the wait lists.
Interesting article - https://blogmickey.com/2026/07/disney-vacation-club-quietly-renames-two-pools-at-lakeshore-lodge/ So Perspective Pond Pool is now going to be named Cypress Point Pool. That's a deep Easter Egg because the late 1970s concept for a lodge next to Fort Wilderness was going to be named the Cypress Poin
Great post and I will add to the recommendations to do this sooner. My mom did this back in 2017, drawing up the paperwork for which deeds would go to my sister and which deeds would go to me. DVC recommended to her to do it because they said it is a mess to try and sort out after someone has died or is too ill to hand
Poly will be tough at seven months. One thing I recommend if you have the points to burn - tryin 1BRs, they are often the easiest to get.
Bus Strategy is the number one reason you stay at the Grand Stand. It is the first bus stop so that is great when coming back from the parks and you are tired. However, it is also an easy walk to the last bus stop (the Springs) which gives you a choice when going to the parks. If it is early morning and the busses are
My favorite DVC lottery story happened in May 2022. We had a waitlist for three nights in a studio at the Grand Californian for October 2022. We were on a Disney Cruise on the Magic in May of that year enjoying a port call in Grand Cayman. While at a beach bar I was checking my email because the place had WIFI. In my i
