Airport transportation

Hmm no replies, so I thought I would jump in.

We always rent a car. We have been going to WDW since the mid 90's. We had 2 daughters at the time and a car just made sense for the four of us. We live in the PNW. This is a long plane ride and it burns a whole day of vacation. So we make sure our stays are pretty long, 14 days at least. This means we have time for off-property excursions. We used to take a day trip to Universal or Busch Gardens, so a car is a must. We also got to Gatorland every trip. It is a fun diversion and the family loves it.

Now it is just Grandma and I. We still rent a car. Mostly out of habit I suppose. We do make trips to the Grocery Store. We also head off property to Steak-N- Shake since that is DW favorite burger and we do not have them here.

Probably boils down to I dont like waiting on transportation. Dont want to wait on Uber/Lyft. I am too cheap to pay for a MinnieVan. I road a bus to work for way too many years to make Mears and option. And its vacation and I want the freedom to go and do what we want when we want.

Now if made shorter trips and they still had Magical Express, we might do things differently, but I really doubt it.
