Ben the Wizard created the Member Map as a fun and interactive way for our community to visualize just how far-reaching it truly is. It allows us to see where fellow members are located around the world, highlighting the incredible diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that all come together through a shared passion for Disney and travel. You'll find the Member Map on the side bar at the top of our homepage.
Beyond just being a visual snapshot, the map helps foster a stronger sense of connection within the community. It gives members a chance to discover others in their region, spark conversations, and even find potential meetups or travel buddies. It also serves as a reminder that while we may be spread across different cities, states, and countries, we are all part of something bigger.
Your privacy is important to us. All pin owners on the map are anonymous and you can choose for yours to be shared or not, and we strongly encourage selecting a general area rather than a precise home address. The goal is to celebrate where you are from without sharing any personal or sensitive information.

Hey Amy, I'm on the Light mode of the forums and noticed your text is hard to read. I think the error is you chose the color to match the dark background vs chosing "default". Hope that helps? :)

Ben did add a button to remove the custom formatting. Helps with some readability.

Hey everyone we are the Schiffers Family from Duisburg in the western part of Germany 🇩🇪 near Düsseldorf if anyone may be familiar with that city - you know.
We are very proud to be part of the DVC family since 2022, long years thinking only locals (Americans) can joyn the Vacation Club. We have been resale members in the first place, short after that also became direct members too.
Best life decision so far, we love Disney and all of it, come as often as possible to Florida.

Yeah the light colored text is from a bug where, when posting using dark mode, sometimes it would save the white text color. So the text would render white even in light mode
Released a bug fix that’ll help ensure it removes that and will render with the proper default color for both light/dark mode when saving new posts. Still need to release a bug fix for existing posts, but the new “Force Default Text Color” button should help with those.
