Banking / Borrowing Rules

I need a refresher on banking vs borrowing. If we bank points by the deadline to save for the next use year, but then change our mind and decide to use them in the current use year, can they be pulled out of the "bank" and used?

Once you bank them into the next use year they can only be used in that use year.

You could borrow your next use years points if you made a mistake.
