That time of year a lot of schools have vacation during that coming week (my wife is a teacher and this is one of our vacation times). You definitely need to have the home resort advantage for anything that is not AKL/SSR/OKW.

Keep trying, it could be people walking and something may open up. Although without knowing what resort and room category you're trying to book you may be out of luck. I am assuming it's something highly desirable?
Error in home resort on DVC website
Did you purchase any one time use points? Those will show up as random contracts as well.
New Offer anticipation
In the past yes the Welcome Home Weeks summer incentives have been good but there is no guarantee. So far each cycle has seemed to suggest that DVC is happy with whatever pace points are selling so I wouldn't get my hopes up for a crazy fire sale type deal any time soon (I am more than happy to be proven wrong though).

My gut tells me this is research for when LSL goes on sale but that's purely speculation. I have to wonder if they are a little worried about having some strong opening day sales seeing as how we just found out pretty much the entire resort will be DVC. That's a ton of points they need to offload.

My understanding is the original Dream it Forward involved the potential buyer getting an extra incentive/discount which as far as I know they have discontinued.
DVC "Favorite Weeks"
One thing that makes it a harder sell for me is its Sun-Sun which doesnt really fit our typical travel schedules.

Someone posted this one on the DISboards (sorry I forgot who), no extra incentives other than what's listed on the sheet which has been my experience with the sold out resort flash sales.
Direct buying an off-sale resort
If you are an existing memeber you can look at the Points Addon Tool page. Scroll down past the Active resorts. If any of the sold out resorts have incentives there will be a green highlight around them. Currently its OKW but I do not know the details.

Little advice for the next sale, don't be a dummy like me and say "oh I'll buy some in a few minutes I'm busy right now" cause they'll sell out real fast.
What do we thing the REAL number is for the Average # of vacation points members have?
I have to wonder if DVC sees a lot of folks buying in the ~200pt range and that partially is why they moved the membership benefits to 150pts. I'm sure there's a connection.
