I gotta second Beaches-N-Cream. We try and go there every trip. As for a character breakfast My grandkids love Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. All the Disney Princesses. It can be a bit of a dash to get there. There is the ever popular 'Ohana at Poly. We went for the character breakfast and it was a blast. Really
Dont forget to visit during all seasons. When my kids were little we would visit WDW in Dec. Being from Seattle, they loved it. I had to explain why whole backyards were screened in! My wife grew up with Steak-N-Shake, but there are none where we live now. So every trip, it is off to a Steak-N-Shake at least a couple of times so she can get her fix.
I second that. BWV and BLT are great. Our only resort where bus transport is a must is AKV. It has other redeeming qualities that make it worthwhile.

For the most part I like how this forum is evolving. All the recent changes have been pretty great and is really helping the usability. Have to agree. It's not your Grandpas DVC. And I should know I am the grandpa. We bought in in 1996 at BWV. The Theming was great and very immersive. Now all the newest resorts give medical center vibes or are just Marriott Brown towers. Point charts are nothing to brag about either. The latest refurb at BWV is showing
Hmm no replies, so I thought I would jump in. We always rent a car. We have been going to WDW since the mid 90's. We had 2 daughters at the time and a car just made sense for the four of us. We live in the PNW. This is a long plane ride and it burns a whole day of vacation. So we make sure our stays are pretty long, 14
Our first home resort was BWV. The Friendships really make the difference. Walking to Epcot and HS is great in the morning, but after a long and hot day, boats are the only way to go. We also enjoy the Monorail when staying at BLT. However it can be super crowded at times.
We pay monthly. Better to spread across the year for our budget. We have multiple contracts and monthly payments just seem to work better. Once set up, We just dont have to worry about it.
Welcome Home! We are taking our grandkids for their first DLR trip next April. Cannt wait to see what they think of VDH. They are WDW veterans with stays at BLT, BWV and AK under their belts. Very excited to see how they like VDH and VGC.
Agreed, Food Service is a hard job to begin with. Must have been miserable. Fortunately Boulder Ridge was not a problem.

We will be at BWV in mid October. It will be really interesting to see the progress on Amazon and Bubbles. Very excited for BW to get a second life.
For us we will be looking at the point chart for sure. We already have 3 WDW home resorts, a fourth maybe a bit much. However BWV expires in 2042 and it would be great to have a replacement for those points when it happens. I expect it to take years to sell out, so there is time.
I just hope that the bus stop has multiple bays like they do at AKV Jambo and not a single bay like at the contemporary and BWV. With just a single curbside pickup things can get really chaotic. At BWV, for instance we had to wait for a MK bus to load 3 or 4 wheel chairs and scooters before the AK bus could even enter
