Good luck!😀 Looking forward to casting my own vote one day soon...
Those are some serious points. Thanks for sharing!
May the 4th be with you, everyone! Check your local Dollar General ad to see if your store is participating in 10% off Disney gift cards. Unclear what the limit is. Discount does not apply to Disney+ gift cards. One day only promotion Monday, May 4th 2026.
Nice article. I am happy to learn data at this level of detail is in public domain. Very helpful insight.
This sounds like an incredible plan! Take a look at this article of a family that has taken long-term WDW stays to another level...sounds like something I would do (if we could afford it) 😊 https://people.com/couples-reveals-how-their-family-of-4-lives-over-half-the-year-at-disney-world-11954506
Just had the same experience. Got two cards at self checkout. Used my new Inspire card so that alone puts me close to the spending bonus. 😀
No doubt the points charts are starting to seem unreasonable. Given that Disney is a for-profit company decisions are motivated by the bottom line. One thought I've had is that shorter stays instead of week-long trips very likely give Disney more profit on a per/night basis as guests would condense their big spends on
Interesting. Yes the D23 Gold is confirmed and we qualify for AP $1000 off. We have two cash rooms already planned through 2026 so we are going to opt for Magical Beginnings if we sign on too. That's worth $4000 at 200 pts.
In the scenario where we were to buy a resale contract how much time must pass after closing before eligible for those existing member promos? Or is it immediate? I thought I may have read 1 year?
⋆✴︎˚。⋆We're in the right month now! Back to WDW in 27 Days! This time we have a split stay between Pop and Beach Club. ⋆✴︎˚。⋆ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
@Lotheron agreed. Our plan is to do just that. I know the DVC guides don't know any specifics about resorts that they are not yet selling but we will be straightforward with our guide that we do have some real interest in LL. Some things that do deter me right off the bat are assumed resale restrictions, transportation
@airjay75 I appreciate that. The last thing we need is buyers remorse on a purchase this size. I guess my ideal scenario would be to have a direct comparison of the three resorts. Are incentives for brand new offerings attractive or do they sell high in the beginning? I could see a more realistic scenario being buy Pol
Yes, I totally agree with @ToastEnthusiast . Honestly Lakeshore Lodge is what gave us the final nudge to seriously consider DVC so now I'm torn which way to go. I think we will just have to talk to our guide and hope for an honest opinion.
So.....real talk. How are we supposed to decide between buy now direct at Poly with incentives or wait for DLL to be available for sale!?
MNSSHP for us Sept. 4th! We have our room booked for BLT. First time staying there. Just doing a long weekend. Will be great!
The Palmetto Trust Can someone please break down for me what exactly the Palmetto Trust is? My primary interest is on what speculation there may be as to how this may or may not have an impact how the Lakeshore Lodge association may be structured. I understand it is all conjecture at this point but for those that under
With all fees or incentives applied we are looking at paying a $5,500 premium for direct Poly over what is available on resale at the 200 pt level. The gap closes a little more when I consider getting CC points back from the direct purchase. I've found it SO hard to place a tangible value on direct benefits but I agree
@Mason’sKingdom Thanks for sharing your experience — it’s really helpful hearing from someone who was just in our shoes! After talking it through, my wife and I are leaning towards the Polynesian right now. Funny enough, we’ve never stayed at either Poly or Riviera, so we’re trying to balance logic with the overall fee
31 Days Until Meeting Our In-Person DVC Meeting in Orlando We had a really productive and honest meeting with our financial advisor, and it felt great to walk away with some clarity. At this point, all systems are go for our plan to buy into DVC! As a family, we’ve landed on the idea of going with a direct contract to
