Lakeshore Lodge (Future) Owners Thread
Oh, and those a-frames are going to cost an absurd amount of points. I'm betting more than the Copper Creek Cabins and the Poly Bungalows.

I think you can say this about all of the monorail resorts - they are just too busy because frankly it is too easy for people who are not staying there to visit them to dine, shop, or just look around (yeah I am guilty of that). They are also DVC resorts attached to large hotels. Complain all you want about the isolati
Some new concept art - this place has some serious Aulani vibes - https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2026/04/30/exclusive-close-up-look-at-disneys-new-lakeshore-lodge-hotel/
Nobody loves the Riviera more than me. We had no intention of buying more points but decided to buy 125 there in 2022. Just a great resorts all around, checks every box for me.
I haven't gone to the extent you have but I have sent articles to people from sites like Disney Tourist Blog on this subject and I get the same reaction.
I've actually tried to make that argument to people over the years and it is like talking to a wall. The idea that Animal Kingdom Lodge is on the far side of the moon and far from everything is too cemented in the brains of too many people.
Once we stayed in a studio at KV at the far end of the hall. We could practically reach out of our window and touch Jambo House.
The Riviera is great for the resort/rest days. Not only is there plenty to do at the resort but you are within walking distance of Caribbean Beach and the Skyliner gives you access to the resorts around Crescent Lake (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk) and you can even go to Pop Century and Art of Animation if you want
I don't know, I'm just repeating what a DVC cast member told me parents years ago although I also read on Disney Tourist Blog that it is because the contracts actually state, "two queen beds." Switching a pull out sofa for a murphy bed is probably within the rule because it doesn't fundamentally change the makeup of th
I was under the impression that the time share rules require them to keep the two beds in the studios.
And unlike other quick service restaurants, Chip and Dale’s actually has a 10% DVC discount.
Well you can pass points on to your children or grandchildren. My wife and I are inheriting BRV and OKW from my parents and we will be 100 when our Riviera points expire, odds those will get passed on.
But the Poly Tower is not separate from the rest of the Poly nor is Big Pine Key separate from the rest of DVC at the GF. Kidani Village and Jambo House are separate. They have established precedent for doing it both ways.
Any word yet on whether or not the new lodge is going to be the same ownership interest as the FW Cabins or will it be a different ownership interest?
I still have my non-expiring 10 day ticket I bought in 2009. Still has four water park days on it.
We've done the zero percent interest on a new credit card for X number of months to help pay for DVC points a couple of times. Another thing to consider if you are going to take out a loan (I have not done this) - is look at a home equity loan. You are going to get a much better interest rate with one of those than you
Ah, we are in similar situations and when I have pitched a similar strategy to my wife, beyond the switching of rooms bit her reply is usually along the lines of, "We bought the points so we don't have to pay for rooms."
