Hello from Central Alabama

Good evening,

I've been lurking for a bit and decided to join. My wife and I just recently joined the Disney Vacation Cult Club with a 150-point purchase from Polynesian. We have been averaging a Disney trip once a decade up until now, but agreed that we would definitely come more often if we had the excuse. We stayed at the Grand Floridian for our honeymoon and, more recently, with my teenage kids, celebrating one of their high school graduations. The other time we stayed was at All-Star Movie. It was not my choice since we were a tagalong, but it definitely ruined the value resorts for me.

We took advantage of the onsite sales pitch when we were at GF. I had been researching becoming a member for a number of years and decided that would be a great opportunity to pull the trigger. We chose the Polynesian because we like being on the monorail loop. Since we will be empty nesters in a few years, my wife and I plan to take many more trips. Honestly, we like walking around the parks more than anything. We did, however, take advantage of the buyback option to sell our first year of points. Helped offset the purchase.
