I have 200ish point for AKL, and smaller BLT contract. I would like to add on approx another 200 points either AKL or SS. Mainly travel for 2 weeks, and do 1/2 resort changes per trip. Now needing 1 or 2 bedroom instead of studios. I’ve been looking for a while now for a Animal Kingdom Lodge contract that matches my use year but they are very limited in the size contracts that I want. It must just be a very rare month. I’m thinking of buying with a use year month just one month difference do you think I’ll end up regretting this? Then i could book 1 week at one resort and one week at another at the 11 month mark and can always amend if other availability comes up at the seven month mark. Any thoughts pros and cons. This will be my third contract with a different use year and I know that that is generally something people try to avoid.
Sounds like you have booking down now with two use years. If you can keep track of banking windows then if uoure good with it have at it. Obviously combining is an issue but thats not your plan. I was on the fence about doing so myself when we added Aulani subsidized but to this day, ive never seen one in our use year so we added a second use year. But the amoubt of points you are adding is what we added there ao its basically like its own separate contract anyway and you may never need to combine a large amoubt of points for a booking anyway. That being said, same is more simple.
